The moon at the top is made of silver sheet metal. The eight scenic spots of Omi that shine in the moonlit night, Ishiyama Temple, Karabashi Bridge in Seta, Awazuhara, Yabashi, Mitsui Temple, Karasaki Shrine, Ukimido, and Hira mountain range are skillfully expressed by Taka-Maki-e, Hira-Maki-e, Kende-Maki-e, Yami-maki-e and Kirikane. The outside of the drawers, the back side of the drawers, and even the inside of the body where you cannot see the drawers unless you pull them out are finished with Nashiji. The part of the top handle that hits the fabric is struck with silver, and the silver work on the hinges and drawer handles is also elaborate, showing the fineness of workmanship everywhere you look. Rather than a jewelry box, this box itself is finished like a jewel.
